Words That Work

A Hands-On Blogging Workshop That Puts Your Content to Work

October 29 | The Village Hive North York | Only 8 Spots

Bring your ideas and your laptop. I'll take care of the rest.

Words That Work is a four-hour working session where you’ll learn how to turn what you know into useful content that actually has a job to do for your business. This isn’t me talking at you. We are going to get to work.

We’ll nail down your audience, sharpen your angle and bring your experience and voice to the page. You’ll also learn how to use AI to support your writing, not take it over, with some really cool tools I’ve built to make the process easier.

You’ll plan, write, ask questions and get feedback while I’m right there to help.

You’ll leave with a strong blog draft, possibly even a finished one, and a realistic system for keeping the content going.

Because I want you to spend less time talking about what you do and more time actually doing it.

This is for you if:

✔ You know your stuff, but turning that expertise into content is harder than it should be.

✔ You want your content to support your business, not become another full-time job.

✔ You want to use AI without sounding like AI.

✔ You’re ready to actually write, not just take notes about writing.

Probably not for you if: you’re looking for viral hacks, an AI content machine or four hours of sitting back while I do all the talking.

You already have something worth saying. Let’s make it worth reading.

Words That Work is...

Designed to fit your workday and school pickup

Presented live, where you can ask all the questions you want

Built for real people writing for real people

Practical from start to finish

What We'll Cover

Before You Write
Get clear on who you’re writing for, what you want your content to do and where your expertise fits in. A little strategy upfront makes everything that follows easier.

Find the Angle
Good content starts with more than a topic. We’ll turn what you know into specific, useful ideas and find the angle that makes them worth reading.

Write What AI Can’t
This is where your expertise earns its keep. We’ll use structure, stories, examples and your own perspective to create content that’s clear, credible and unmistakably yours. You’ll also learn where AI can help without letting it take over.

Make It Work Harder
Turn a solid draft into content that’s ready to do its job. We’ll cover online readability, SEO and smart ways to repurpose one good piece into more, without creating a whole lot more work.

Who’s Teaching This?

I’m Melanie Ziltener, Founder of Tripod Copy and your guide to making your words work.

Words matter – especially when your reputation is attached to them.

I work with smart professionals who want to turn what they know into clear, undeniably human content that’s actually worth reading.

When we work together, expect lots of back-and-forth, weird (but memorable) analogies, and absolutely zero PowerPoint marathons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely. This is not Writing 101. It’s about taking your expertise and making it work in the online space. We’ll focus on finding stronger angles, writing for real humans and connecting your content to your business.

Blogging is our main focus because it gives us something substantial to work with. But what you learn applies to LinkedIn newsletters, articles and other long-form content, and we’ll talk about how to turn one strong piece into content you can use elsewhere.

Yes! Words That Work can be adapted for teams and professional groups. Get in touch and we can talk about what would work best for your people.

Very. This is not four hours of me talking at you while you slowly lose the will to live.

The group is capped at eight people for a reason. You’ll be planning, writing, asking questions and getting feedback on your actual content as we go. Bring your laptop and come ready to work.

Not yet, but it’s in the works. Reach out to me and I’ll make sure you’re on the waitlist for that.

No. Bring your brain and whatever half-baked ideas are rolling around in there. We’ll take it from there.
