You’re Too Busy To Not Be Repurposing Content

So 2022 has just started and already we’re sucker-punched here in Ontario with another lockdown, more virtual school and non-stop COVID news. It’s time we get serious about repurposing content.

Let’s be real, you’re WAY too busy to write something, use it once, and put it away!!! So let’s talk about three reasons why you need to be repurposing your content.

It saves time.

This is a biggie – when you repurpose your content, you’re cutting your content creation time IN HALF, at least!

It makes your brand cohesive

When you’re sharing the same themes across different platforms, you’re creating cohesion within your brand.

It means that no matter where your audience finds you, they’re seeing consistency. Consistency is the little-talked about hero in your business. It is what separates the so-so businesses from the greats. So get consistent!

It grows your audience

Not everyone is going to read what you write. Not everyone is going to listen to your audiograms or watch your videos.

The more times you share the same thought, the more likely you are to reach people with one of those means.

How to Repurpose Content

Step one: head on down to the bottom of this page and sign up for my workshop. We’re going to talk all about that.

There are a few things that you can do to make it easier to repurpose your content.

1. Start with Long-Form Content

It’s much easier to divide a longer piece of content into several pieces than it is to stitch shorter content together.

So whether you have a blog or a podcast, use that long content as your base.

2. Use an Outline

Okay, I fought against this one for a long time, but using an outline is going to make your life SO much easier!

It helps you to organize your content. Organized content flows better (bonus!) but is also much easier to repurpose and re-use.

Ready to keep your content going without spending tons of time?

Join me on January 17 at 8:00 p.m. for my workshop: Make it Count: Repurposing Your Content. We’ll go through specific examples of how to take one blog post and get the most use out of it. Register using the form below.
